To be honest, I really only bought this game because I love FF7 that much. This is a 3-D fighter featuring characters from Squaresoft games, but the only characters anyone will recognize are most likely FF7 characters (Cloud, Tifa, Sephy, Zack, Yuffie, and Vincent). But to be honest, I can also honestly say that this game isn't too bad itself.
Graphics: The game has really good graphics, especially for it's time. The character models look great. Some of the levels are nice, but could have used a little work. Overall though, nice graphics department. Gameplay: There are a couple of different modes in this game that are fun. You have you traditional Arcade mode where you choose a character and fight your way through enemies to face a boss. Each character also has a unique ending, which can be viewed at anytime after you beat Arcade once with that character. The mini-games are suprisingly fun as well. If you have some friends over, both of you can enjoy some of them, like the one with the panels and the lighting. Pretty neat-o. And if fighting isn't for you, there is also a short, but fun RPG quest built in. It is hard, but neat. It's a dungeon crawling, action-RPG that will most likely take about 3-5 hours to complete. The story in it isn't amazing or anything, but it can be fun and well worth your time. Sound: Some of the sound effects are funny, and some are really good. The voices for the characters are really well done. Overall: I would definately recommend picking this game up if you can find it. I would recommend it even more to FF7 fans because of the characters in it, and the movie sequences that you unlock from the game. Plus, one of the costumes for Vincent is him when he was a Turk! Woo! But with it's nice blend of action and various game modes, this game is well worth some play time.
