Final Fantasy VII is a game that changed the way I felt about RPGs. This one game alone is my favorite RPG ever made. Squaresoft did not go wrong when they made this game. Here is how I feel about the game in a breakdown:
Story: Cloud Strife enters a group of rebels known as AVALANCHE. Single handedly, this group plans to take over the evil corporation called Shin-Ra. What turns into a rebellion ends up becoming a fight for the planet as an evil man named Sephiroth sends a Meteor straight for Earth (yes, it is Earth...watch the move Supernova). Very, very engrosing story. All the characters are people you can actually feel for and care about.
Graphics: For the time, BEAUTIFUL. I still love them today compared to most realistic looking games. Block hands never get old...
Gameplay: Flawless. The game does nothing wrong in this area, or in any area as a matter of fact, heh.
Sound: Very amazing music. The soundtrack is something I also own. Music in RPGs doesn't get much better than this.
Replayabilty: For me, VERY HIGH. I've played through the game about 18 times now. Plan on doing it many more too. I've played it so much that I have an invincible combination of materia, mwahahahahaha!!
Overall: The most engrosing game I have ever played. This is the most perfect RPG to date. Games don't get much better than this one. As GameFan Magazine put it: "...quite possibly the greatest game ever made." Truer words have never been spoken...
