Grand Theft Auto 3 is the series peak. It took the formula that was GTA, made it 3-D, and made it perfect. There is a lot to say about GTA3, so I will have to break it down:
Graphics: Though not the strongest department the game has to offer, they are still really good, especially considering the size of this game. Liberty City is nicely laid out and everything looks great.
Gameplay: The game shines in this area the most. There are many different missions you take on from many different people. Some of the missions are very unique and craftily designed. Plus, along with the missions, there is side stuff you can do, like find hidden packages, go car hunting, or even just run around and kill things. GTA3 is one of those games that you don't have to pick up and feel obligated to finish. However, the gameplay has enough insentive to make you want to keep playing through the game.
Sound: The radio stations in the game are really cool. Though they are fake, and real music would have been nice, it is great to be able to listen to something and have it make you laugh, no matter how many times you have heard it. The best part about the radio is the station called The Chatterbox. It is very humorous and never gets old.
Replay: GTA3 has very high replay. Actually, it has more than very high replay. There is so much stuff to explore and do that you will just keep playing. Plus, if you manage to go through all the missions and complete the story fully, you will want to play it again. Just one of those play again and again games.
Overall: GTA3 is a must own for any PS2 owner. If you don't have this game, you should give it a shot.
