The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is the long awaited Zelda title for the Nintendo Gamecube. There is a lot of controversy over this game though because it is cel-shaded. But does that affect the game? We'll see:
Graphics: I guess I will start of with the "all-kiddie cel-shaded disaster" that they call graphics. For one, they rule! This game looks amazing. I cannot fathom why people are complaining. The game looks and moves very smoothly, and the look of the game just feels right. The cartoony style fits Link and hit personality just right. Besides, look through all of the instruction books of ever Zelda game. See that? Link IS a cartoon after all. So what is so wrong with playing with him as one? Got me...
Gameplay: The same great 3-D Zelda style gameplay with some added elements in the fighting system make this my favorite 3-D Zelda game to date. Plus, the huge world is a plus too. And the sailing instead of walking adds a different feel to the game as well. The dungeons are well laid out and might give trouble at some points, but the game is fairly easy overall all, but no complaints there either. This title gave me at least 50 hours of play time my first time through.
Story: Don't want to ruin anything, but lets just say that it has it's cool, and shocking twists...
Replay: I have already played it 3 times, and plan on playing it again. Very high for a Zelda game in this department. There is just a lot of stuff to do and collect.
Overall: A must own for any Cube owner. Besides, it's Zelda. Of course it's amazing. Miyamota has created yet another great and fantastic game to add to an already near-perfect series.
