Metroid Fusion is the 4th numbered game in the Metroid series. I have been a long time Metroid fan, and got this and Prime on the same day. Well, would this game hold up to the other perfect games in the series? 8 years later, I hope Metroid hadn't rusted...
Graphics: For a GBA game...they are awesome. The Samus model looks similar to the one in Super Metroid, and the game feels a lot like Super Metroid. The backgrounds are pretty crisp, and so are the enemies and levels. Overall, these are some of the best on the GBA.
Gameplay: Old school Metroid action. Can't get much better than that. Run, jump, shoot, bomb...all you used to love to do returns. Plus, there are some upgraded tweaks that make gameplay even more fun, and adds new ways to get around.
Story: Here's where the part I was most concerned came in. How would Fusion continue the Metroid story? Well, I must say...it did well. I don't really want to say anything on the story, because I don't want to ruin anything...however, the ending does leave me wondering...if there is a 5 and so on, will Samus be forever in the Fusion suit? Hmmm...
Replayability: Oh man...like every other Metroid. If you want to see all the endings, and get all the items, except to play this game AT LEAST 3 times. So yeah...it has it.
Overall: I am blown away. Metroid Fusion brings back all that I love about Metroid, and keeps it fun. It does not superpass Super Metroid, however, is still a perfect game in it's own rights. A must own for any GBA owner and an "own-or-die" for Metroid fans.
