Experts Beware!  Mystic Quest is not for you!  This game is a mixed game for me.  It has a really interesting story, and the gameplay is alright, but at the same time, because if it's difficulty and sheer lack of any challenge, the game seems to be bland and un-fun.  Here's a quick run down of some certain areas:

Graphics: For the SNES, they aren't that bad.  The dungeons and fight scene graphics aren't bad at all, however, the world map is very plain and uniteresting.  It's green with a town every here and there.

Gameplay: Is is an RPG, and fighting and leveling up is fun.  However, traveling and walking around isn't.  The dungeons are all the basic dungeons you have seen before, and the world map is not free roaming.  You hit which direction you want to go and your character automatically walks to the next town/battle ground.  In the battle grounds, you can fight the same enemies up to 10 times.  Blah, I say!  Plus, it is really easy.  For example, you can get all the items in an area, leave the area, come back to it a second later, and all the treasure chests are filled with the same item again.  This makes the game extremely easy for getting healing items.  Also, you can see the enemies in the dungeons, however, they either stand still, gicing you the choice to fight only the ones in the doorways that are blocked, or some ever move left to right, or up to down, making them really easy to avoid.  Overall, the gameplay is really watered down, and very average at best.

Sound: Basically, some of the music is tollerable, yet most of it sucks.  The into music is really hip though, heh.  Sound effects for magic and stuff are really bad also.

Replayability: Very low.  Once you beat this game, you will probably not want to play it again.  Because of how easy it is, you will most likely get everything the game has to offer in your first time through it.

Overall: Considering this game has the Final Fantasy title, and being a generic RPG and average in everything, this game will get an average score.  It isn't a horrible game, especially if you are looking for a simplistic RPG to just blow through.  I recommend it to anyone, but like my first sentence, the most hardcore of RPG should stay away.
