Well, I already wrote a review for Skies of Arcadia, so you can read that and expect it to be the same game. However, there are some changes, and I would like to point them out in this review:
-the get-in-a-random-battle-every-3-steps has been taken out. But do not fear. Since there will be less times you fight, you get more experience per battle. So it evens itself out. Kudos to Ovrworks for thinking on that part.
-More discoveries, weapons, magic, and an all new Bounty List mode has been added. This makes for more fun in sidequests, and gaining money.
-There are new story plot twists, especially with a girl named Piastol. Nothing major from the original story, but basically just some more background info on Vyse. No complaining with that :)
-The graphics have been tweaked a bit, and are somewhat smoother.
-Some of the voice phrases have been taken out, but the only noticable ones are in the move "Blue Rogues." It's nothing that affects the game at all though.
-A first person view mode has been added. This makes looking for some items easier...plus, it's cool to stare out at the open horizon from time to time.
Overall: This version of the game improved on the already perfect Dreamcast version. This isn't a cheap, crappy port like most games *cough* Grandia 2 for PS2*cough*. If you have a Gamecube, I strongly say that you get it. Play one of the best RPG's ever made. Chances are, you missed it, since it was on the long dead Dreamcast.
