For a game that I picked up for only $10, I must say that this was one of the better shooters that I have played. It's really fun. Here's a lowdown:
Graphics: Great. Not the best I've ever seen, but not the worst. The levels are greatly detailed, from run down buildings to the the tall buildings of NY, the game is really good looking.
Gameplay: The game is somewhat hard, since there are a lot of enemies per stage, but that's fine by me. I love a little challenge. The aiming system is good, and the selection of weapons is few, but enough to keep you entertained. There is just no other feeling you get when you plant a C4 on a cannon, run back, it explodes, and you see about 4 Russians fly into the air to their death!!! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Story: Basically, the Russians don't think the government is running our country right, so they come in and take it over. You play as Chris Stone, a plumber gone rebellion, and you join the Freedom Fighters, who, in fact, fight to take the country back. w00t.
Sound: The music fits in perfectly with this type of game. As for SFX, they are great. Gun shots sound real, as do explosions and death shrieking Russians.
Replayabilty: Well, I've only played through the game once, but I plan on playing through it again on a harder difficulty. I'd say this game is somewhat moderate when it comes to replay value, but I know I, at least, will be playing at least 3 more times...
Overall: Of the many shooters I have played in my day, FF is among the greats. I recommend this game to shooter fans, and anyother fans of course. And hey, at $10 for the PC at Gamestop, there isn't much better deals than that.
