Chrono Trigger was one of the first RPG's I had played.  I rented the game not really knowing aything about the game.  I just saw that it was made by the same company that made my beloeved Final Fantasy II, so I though "What the heck, I'll give it a rent." One I played it, I had to own the game.  And to this day, I still play this masterpiece of an RPG.

Gameplay: Chrono Trigger has one of the best battle systems ever imaginable.  Not only do you have the standard Attack/Magic setup, but you can combine people's magic and attacks to create a powerful attack.  BRILLIANT!

Graphics: For the time that this game was released, it looked amazing.  Hell, even playing this game today reminds me of how amazing it actually looks compared to a lot of SNES games.

Sound: The music in this game is mind-blowing.  It's actually one of the few game soundtracks I went out of my way to buy.  One of the rare games that I can sit down and just listen to it's music and enjoy.

Story: You are Crono.  You get sucked into a time warp marchine that you decided to help demonstrate for your friend.  History starts to get torn apart.  SAVE IT...or get wiped out.  That's the main premise of the story any.  There is too much awesome stuff to talk about so it looks like you'll just have to play it yourself...

Replay: This game has tons of replay value.  With multiple endings and many (and some humorous) sidequests, the game lets you take multiple paths to get to the end.  And, with the New Game+ feature, you can just keep tearing through the game like it was nobody's business since you start the game off at level 60 something, ha!

Overall: One of the best RPG's and overall games ever made.  It has been re-released on the Playstation in FF: Chronicles, so since it is hard to find the orginal (and probably expensive), PICK THIS UP!  You won't regret playing this game.
