To be honest, I don't know why I bought this game. I heard it was good and it was $20. That's the only reason I think of why I even gave it a shot. I like fighting games, but this never struck me as one that interesting, and I don't like rap. But you know what? Who cares. It's $20. I'll try it...
...and really enjoy it!
Gameplay: Def Jam's story mode is the only reason to get this game, and it's worth it just for it. You create your own fighter and fight your way through Snoop "The Crow" Dogg's clubs to take them over. And suprisingly enough (and without ruining anything), the story is actually really good. The other modes include one-on-one fighting and such. Nothing really out of the ordinary. Another thing that makes DJ really fun are the Blazin', or finishing moves. They are so over-the-top and hilarious + painful, it's just so fun to pull them off. The fighting is really well done.
Graphics: This is another area the game really shines in. There isn't much to say about the graphics except for the fact that they are awesome.
Extras/replay: Tons. Lots of unlockable fighters and arenas, plus it's just flatout fun.
Overall: Just a well put together fighting game, suprisingly enough. I definately recommend this game since it's excellent for a budget title. It will give you hours of play time.
