Ape Escape: On The Loose. I guess I can't really write a full detailed review about this game because, frankly, I already have. On The Loose is a port of the old PSOne Ape Escape game. I did not know this when I bought the game, and I must say, I am disappointed, yet happy at the same time.
Disappointment:
It's just a port. They only updated the graphics and added like a mini-game or so that I know of. I haven't beaten it yet, so there might be an extra level or so. But that's it. The controls also didn't port over as well as a the console setup, but that's understandable. Blah! Oh, and it's $40 price tag.
Happy:
It's Ape Escape! And it's portable! Granted it is just a port, but it's a good port. There is nothing choppy, and the updated graphics are not a disappointment, but make me happy also.
Overall: I say, if you haven't played Ape Escape already, buy this game. If you have, then be like me. Only if you want Ape Escape to be portable, then get it. If not, don't bother. You aren't missing anything new.
The only reason this game gets one point lower than my original Ape Escape score is the new price tag and because it is a shined up port. Other than that, it is still a great game.
