High energy action at it's best.

Graphics:
First of all, I must say this. Gears of War is the best damn game I have ever seen in my entire life. From the smoothness of the textures, to how fluid the game runs, to the beautiful lighting and detail to the environments...it just doesn't get any better. There isn't much to say in this department except that this game is GORGEOUS!

Gameplay:

Magnificent. Duck and cover gameplay with non-stop action. There's always something shooting at you, or you're always shooting at something. And the one thing that makes you go "woah!" in this game is definitely the chainsaw. Cutting Locusts in half is one of the greatest gaming moments ever. I love the intense pace the game has also. You're always on your toes, ready to fire (if you're not already anyway).

Sound:
Excellent voice acting and sound effects. The music is really nothing rememberable, but fitting.

Replay:
Multiplayer really adds tons of hours to this game. Not only that, but single player is very short. We're talking like 4-5 hours short. But that's not a bad thing. With the way the game was built, it's a game you'll WANT to play through over and over. And if it was 20 hours, then that would be ridiculous.

Overall:

And now you're probably thinking "what? All this praise, no faults, and still a 9?!" Well, here's why. I hate the fact that there are no bosses at all really. Plus, you see all these huge creatures and NEVER fight them. UGH! Corpsers, Corpsers with rocket launchers....nope, not once. Well, you fight a corpser once, but it's a joke. So Cliffy B., this is for you: in Gears of War 2, ADD GIANT BOSSES! It would make the epic feel of the game that much more, and one in which the same feeling that Lost Planet has every time you fight a giant worm or something.

But other than that, this game is missing nothing. A must own for 360ers.
