2006 FIFA World Cup is finally here! It's been 4 years since the last World Cup game. How does it uphold in the FIFA series?
Gameplay:
This years addition is really good. The gameplay mechanics have been improved a little (like easier ball control, stealing, and scoring), plus there is a whole slew of new challenges, which can be pretty hard. The gameplay overall hasn't changed very much from other FIFA games, but that isn't a bad thing. It's basically FIFA 06, but with World Cup teams instead. Can't complain about that.
Graphics:
Very good actually. This 360 soccer game actually has clear looking backgrounds. In RTFWP, when it would go into the close up FMV mode, the backgrounds would be all blurry, but in this game, they are crystal clear. The stadiums are very detailed, and even the crowd is detailed (suprisingly). Character models also look great.
Sound:
A nice variety of commentary, great crowd screams, and groovy tunes really help this game out.
Replay:
Between the World Cup mode, the challenges, and online multiplayer, you'll play this one for a while.
Overall:
A must own for soccer fans. This game is a great addition to the FIFA series and is really fun to play most of all.
