Backround info:
The game is set in a new Final Fantasy world (they never reuse them). You get to pick your race and gender and make your own 8 characters. Your characters live in your town, which has many families that (gasp) give you stuff. Now the evil wind, misama, kills the four races of the land if they breathe it. The only defense against this "WMD" is myyrh. Myyrh can be collected from trees (obviously blocked by hordes of monsters) and stored in your Chalice. You need to do this once a year, in order for your town to survive. It doesn't take a year to complete a year, but if you want all the goodies it might- you have to keep rebeating bosses in order to collect all the artifacts, which you'll want to have. However, as you play, there is a whole mystery of people's lives that you solve, and this is in relation with the diary you keep in the game.
Gameplay
The game's controls are very simple to use. You can easily assign items and spells to use and it's all easy. It is a little hack-and-slashy, but still easy and enjoyable. It's just great and addicting to play! I love this game! The whole "Harvest Moon" type feature fits in well with the RPG aspect.

Graphics
Oh lord! The graphics are beautiful. Amazing. Breathtaking. It's just nice! Art is also superb!
9/10
Sound
Sound is awesome! The music is very well done. The sound is only ok. There are no voices, though. Still, the music blows you away!

Presentation
This game is NOT a traditional RPG. Which has some ups and downs. You get to live and play longer. But the game lacks some basic RPG skills. Still it's fun!
5/10
Value
Like Animal Crossing, this game lasts forever. You keep playing and living. I love it. Definitely worth $50!

Multiplayer Value
I had to include this because of the game's innovative feature. Get a friend- or four, and hook up your GBAs to the GCN to do a multiplayer mode. It changes thing around a bit, but it's easier with teamwork. Although finding a couple of friends with a link cable and a GBA is hard, it's worthwhile if you can!
