Prince of Persia is one of the best games available on the Xbox. Aside from the stunning visuals, the solid gameplay and huge fun factor make this one of the top choices for any collection.
We all know that graphics don't make a great game, but damned if they don't help! The visuals in Prince of Persia are something to be applauded. The entire game is played as a dream, and has a soft filter throughout the environment. The animations are silky smooth, and the rendering of the massive palace is just exquisite.
Where Prince of Persia really shines is the actual honest-to-goodness gameplay. It's really rather straightforward; you progress through, what I can certain, sections of the game through 3 different methods. You're either doing a lot of killing, acrobatics, or solving a puzzle. Fighting in this game is a blast, as the Prince has a wide array of deadly moves to aid his slaughter.
The whole game is just, like a good book, hard to put down. Once you become engrossed in the story, the mystery, and the action of the game, you won't get out until you see the magnificently designed ending. It's worth the entire game and then some just for that ending.
However, after that ending, the game offers little more. Replayability is scarce, and some have claimed that the game is too short. This is a common complaint simply because those who play it usually don't want to stop playing it.
The short of it is that this game is worth your money if you consider yourself any kind of respectable gamer.
