Samurai Warriors is good game it plays exactly like the Dynasty Warriors series, which to an extent it good but not so good if you played the DW series to death, but there is some things that are a welcome change. The levels themselves look (to me anyway) better then the DW levels these ones are more varied, with open fields to villages to mountain levels and even inside castles, most of the terrain i mentioned above is in DW but these look a bit better. The sound is good too you'll hear every swing of swords to enemies death cries, but the voice acting is really off in the cutscenes it's better to listen to it in it's original Japanese form then bear the horrible syncing in the English version. The problems that plagued the DW series are still run amok here such as: enemies back-stabbing you as your attacking another, horsemen needlessly blocking your view but that's not as frequent in this one. One very welcome addition is that as your character levels up the game "levels" up as well meaning if you have a character that is maxed out playing on easy will not be as easy as it was when you were just starting so on that note playing on Hard or Chaos is actually worth it because you get higher level items and better stats for weapons. Creating characters is more in depth in SW than in DW, you get to train your character and get to select which Samurai you want to join up with (Yukimaru, Hanzo etc) but a major drawback is if you do not pass the 'final test' you have to start all over again which can be a tedious.(fortunately it never happen to me :)not much else i can say just you have to play it yourself and find out if you enjoy it or not if your a fan of DW give it a shot it's different enough to take a break from DW
