Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is easily one of the more interesting games I've played as of late. How interesting? Well lets just say....
I'm special, I encountered several "glitches" while playing this game. The first being Farah and the weak AI that controls her skinny little ass. Farah would often times stand still somewhere instead of squeezing into a crack.
The second glitch was when an in-game cutscene decided to merge with a fight I was in. The end result was a black screen that showed nothing yet I could still hear the fight going on.
This leads to the last glitch which followed immediately after I restarted the game (due to glitch #2). I would reload the game only to find the prince "hover" over the ground in a random direction and then inexplicably fall down dead. This last glitch carried on for a while until finally I had to turn of the Xbox and come back to it another day.
Now that I have bitched about my "glitchs" I can quickly state the other problems I felt this game had. One problem being the dim witted AI and the tedious battles that ensued with them. The second problem being a lack of combat moves and reason to use most of your special moves. By special moves I mean using the "Sands of Time". To counter this problem I simply didn't block the AI attacks at all. I chose to dance around them instead of using the block button. Well there you have it, my long list of complaints, but cheer up the good stuff follows.
What features did "grumpy" Wish like. Well what really struck a chord with me was the voice acting followed by the story itself and lastly the somewhat simplistic puzzles. I have a long history of hating puzzles and for a game that is littered with them I found myself actually interested in trying to solve them. With regards to the sound and video quality, both are well done. Even the level design was interesting despite very little change in themes and puzzle layouts.
To close I'd have to say I'm glad I bought this game for only $30 (Canadian). Making the Prince run around performing his impressive acrobatic skills while narrating an interesting story was definately worth the cash.
