I liken CS: Source to action movies that get sequels. The basic movie (game in this case) formula remains the same but receives a shot in the arm when it comes to eye candy. The new physics engine and graphics do little to add to the gameplay experience. The former simply means "ragdoll" deaths occur and objects get knocked around while the latter makes everything look better but stay the same.
Gameplay 8/10
This is the same old Counter Strike we've all played years ago. It is still fun but to me I find the game a bit unrealistic and prefer a certain other "mod" that starts with a D. Finding good servers and competent/non whiny team members still drag this game down a bit.
Audio 10/10
The sound effects for the guns are very realistic and thanks to the new physics gun fights sound even more realistic as you hear slugs being lodged into wood, walls and glass.
Graphics 8/10
The graphics are stunning but they do not need to be top notch for this type of game. Secondly I feel that many may not have the hardware requirements to play this version thus limiting the number of people that can play. This is probably the reason why the original CS was such a success and why it is still the number one online game.
Replay 8/10
Again nothing has really changed in this iteration of CS. The replay value is directly proportionate to the amount of good servers and team players you can find. Then always account for the whiny/annoying people in most games and the "that was pure bullsh*t" scenario that happens frequently and you'll have an accurate picture of how fun it is to come back to this game.
So to sum it up, this game is fun and addictive I'll admit however I want more realism from CS and this iteration has done little to move the game forward. The whiny little kids will always be there and thankfully you can ignore them however I can't the sense of realism this game exudes but fails to deliver when everyone is pelting each other with bullets and still standing.
