In 1989, Tecmo released the seminal Ninja Gaiden, a side-scrolling platform game featuring the suave and stylish Ryu Hayabusa who sought revenge for his father's death. The game featured some great gameplay that had never been seen in a game on the...

Like most Xbox owners I was excited about the coming of a Ninja Gaiden game to the Xbox. Unfortunately, the game is probably the most difficult game I have ever played. Difficulty aside, Ninja Gaiden is a solid action game that should be given...

There are some video games that make you remember their excellence just at the mention of their names. For most gamers, games like Halo and Splinter Cell seem to automatically evoke a response along the lines of, "That game rules," or "I love that...

Undoubtably, the most fun you'll have all year. Aside from Halo 2 mulitplayer. Nevertheless, Ninja Gaiden delivers, and Team Ninja left nothing to chance. Theoretically, the perfect game, aside from being the diffucult game I've ever played. ...

Ninja Gaiden, one of 2004's great action games. You are Ryu Hayabusa and you seek revenge for the incident to your village. Ninja Gaiden offers awesome and intense bosses that make you think of movies like 'The Last Samurai' and stuff. The...

Another game branching off from the DOA story, except that this being the side story. This game plays on the role of Hayabusa from DOA and one night, his village was burned down to the grounds. Everyone he had known died including a girl that he'd...

Let's get two thing straight- this game is awesome and this game is hard. The only way I can see somebody not liking it is because they got frustrated with its extreme difficulty. And true enough, I don't blame them for being frustrated, but...

After playing Ninja Gaiden, I have the sudden urge to start kicken ass whenever I see something move. I must say that after countless hours of flawless gameplay, my fingers have taken quite the punishment. I give this game a 10. Why a 10 you...

Why do people think this game is hard?? I beat it easily, the only problem I had in the game was finding the oxygen tank.
I hate games where you get all the cool moves toward the end of the game and you really don't get enough levels...

One thing I would like to point out first about this game is how much I hated the stupid camera. Most of the time I couldn't see who was killing me from the back. It also made jumping cliffs difficult.
Graphics are DOAXBV quality...

This is one beautiful game. The cutscenes are by far the best I've ever seen to date. The action is intense and the the enemies are not only plentiful but there is not one week enemy in the game. There are a couple of bosses that are easier...

Ninja gaiden is without doubt one of the greatest action games of all time.
In my eyes it's already legendary.
Superb graphics combined with powerful gameplay and a very cool soundtrack.
The only things that are not perfect about...

Well, it's been a very frustrating two months with Ninja Gaiden. It feels SO rewarding to finally beat this thing after nearly throwing my controller through the TV about eight dozen times, but I still can't see what all of the hype is here. Sure,...

Picture this: I'm walking through the "tutorial" level, waiting with sweet, sweet anticipation for the first fight to brew so I can lay some righteous smackdown upon the enemy. Suddenly, three ninjas corner me. I casually press a couple...

I've never really enjoyed fighting games with the exception of Soul Calibur 2. Then I played this game and it's now in my top 3 games of all time. The combat is incredibly addictive with brilliant controls, it's far from being a button basher. ...

This game was the ONLY reason why I got the Xbox in the first place. I saw good ratings and read good reviews for this game, so I had to have my hands on it. Well, now that I have it, it's safe for me to say that it wasn't what I had hoped for. ...

I usually don't like the fighting games, but I have enjoyed the Gaiden series in the past, so I figured it would be a fun game where I could spend some time.
However, after playing it, I am addicted. They did an excellent job with the...

Getting excited about a game based on ninjas is not uncommon, but allowing that excitement to grow until the end of the game is. Before I picked up Ninja Gaiden, I was cautious about two things. Firstly, I have heard a lot about the frustration...

Try as I might (I could easily add: try as it might), I find it hard to dislike Ninja Gaiden. It arrived with a huge amount of hype, and everywhere I looked it was hailed as the return of "old-school" type gaming, with a difficulty curve to make...

Let's face it, ninjas are cool.
The Good.
Ninja Gaiden has both excellent graphics and sound. The sound effects are particularly good. Nunchuks make "hiss/swish'ing" while the Katana makes a nice slicing sound. Bad guys...
