What an awesome concept for a game. What poor execution of the game.
The first thing I have to say about State of Emergency is rent it before you buy it. If you are expecting another GTA3 this ain't it. So many of...

I haven't seen such a wide range of love-it-or-hate-it reviews of a game since Parasite Eve first landed its beautiful, over-hyped disk into most PlayStations.
Put simply: State of Emergency is a one-player, Fighting Force-style beat'em...

State of Emergency is a mixture of fighting, shooting, breaking things and blowing things up! (including people x)
The game is divided into 2 main modes - "Revolution" & "Chaos". Revolution is really quite poor - it involves...

Has there ever been a case of where "hype" has destroyed a game before it even hit the market? Well, I think you can say that there is now.
Almost everyone that heard about this game instantly responded "GTA3-type" game. And...

Played it once, the first mission in the supermarket. Was a mess, was like a game on gameboy advance to me!
Didn't try it further. Very disapointed. Apparently I should try it again... But the fun wasn't there...

i really liked this game. i like the fact that i can save from everywhere. it is definately a mindless violence, push buttons and hope type game, but i have always enjoyed those. i may only play it for an hour at a time, but you...

While this is NO GTA3, The game has it's moments of Fun, the missions are bland and the gameplay of smash, bash & beat em up is where this game has it's strong points. And after a LONG day who doesnt like to just go MAD in any platform game...

Well. I never expected a game as polished as GTA3 as many others did, and I was right. The game just seems pointless. Like others said, once you get past all the mayham and violence, it just gets repetitive really fast. The missions arent varied...

I really wasn't planning on buying this game and now I wish I hadn't! I am aware that the game is based on the confusion and pointless mayhem one would associate with a riot but after playing for a short period the game needs some...

Notice, this is your basic arcade-style game. It's all about getting more points and staying alive. That being said, I ask you, "Could there be a game with any LESS depth?" The missions don't string together and don't require much skill...

Not amazing, but still good in its own right. Of course, it's no GTA, but nothing will ever be like GTA until Rockstar makes a sequel to it.
S.O.E. is a beat-'em-up, with weapons included. It's actually rather...

SoE, one of the most anticipated games has finally come out. There's many people who have expressed their feelings of disappointment about this game. However, look at what I have to say:
Gameplay- Put simply, this game is...

Well, first of all let me say this game is NOT as good as GTA3. Thats just the truth. However, this game is bad-a$$ all the way! There are a ton of moves (no special moves which kind of stinks, but I can deal without them) and a...

Like a lot of people I went out and got this game the day it was released. And like every other Rockstar game, this one kicks @$$! It's basically organized mayhem as you race through various locations, bashing heads and taking...

i got this game today.
i have to say. Im a little disspaointed. After this last holiday season, I have become accustomed to games with more depth in story and in game play, SOE has neither , really. The game play is very 1 dimensional...

State of Emergency isn't as good as I thought it would be. Don't get me wrong, the game is good, but SOE lacks the depth found in Grand Theft Auto 3. Shooting crowds of people up with an assault rifle is fun for a couple hours, but it...

Is it fair to rate a game when you first get it....I'm not so sure but I'll do it anyway!
Much like GTA3.....you hurt alot of people in this game...and thats cool if thats what you want to do.
I'm sure we'll never hear the end of this...
