After you beat certain characters in 'World Tour Challenge' you can use the points you collect in the single player modes and unlock the secret characters.

Purchase different shot capabilities
It is possible to change the speed and reload time of the 'shots' in SBK. This is done by saving up points and purchasing them in the shop. The different shot types DO NOT change the physical form of the shot, just the properties of it.

Unlocking Higher Grade Difficulties
When you first start the game, you'll only be able to choose Grade C courses, which are the easiest to complete. However, if you manage to beat the Grade C courses, you will unlock Grade B. Should you finish all of the Grade B courses, you'll be able to play the Grade A courses, which are the hardest in the game.
