Death by Degrees is a half-assed attempt to bring the Tekken formula to action/adventure games. Trouble is, there's nothing here that even resembles anything that made the series fun in the first place.
Starring Nina Williams, Death by Degrees utilizes the dual-analog stick fighting system of the infinitely superior Jet Li vehicle Rise to Honor. The plot is generic espionage fluff that you'll likely care little for, and the awkward control scheme is supplemented only by even poorer shootouts and keycard searches.
Graphics are strictly mediocre, and the audio presentation is decidedly subpar. Shoddy dialogue and an even shoddier script do nothing to offset the weak sound effects and forgettable background tunes. Nothing about Death by Degrees stands out, and as a result, it comes off as yet another boring "skanky babe kicks ass" gimmick action game. If you've played one, you've played them all.
