Nanobreaker's a simple meal of bread and water in a land full of gourmet courses. The action is fast and the gore comes in buckets, but the battles fail to hold so much as a candle to the Devil May Crys and Ninja Gaidens of the world. And though the game tries to do something different by way of allowing players to design their own combo chains, this is mindless button mashing at its worse.
Even Nanobreaker's nifty art style is countered by atrocious voice acting and a story that can only be described as thrown together. Action games this mediocre are a dime a dozen.
