The Dukes of Hazzard: Return of the General Lee is a mediocre title that hashes together a bunch of played out genre conventions into a mess of a licensed product.
Most of the game sees you driving through the countryside as you try to get to your next mission, which take the form of simple racing exercises. The trek from mission to mission is a boring, plodding one thanks to the incredibly slow speed of the vehicles, and races themselves aren't fun in the least, due to absolutely horrendous handling.
The presentation fares better, thanks to the inclusion of original voice talent from the TV show and a script written by professional writers. Even still, this can't make up for the lackluster graphics and – most of all – the miserable gameplay.
Fans of the series will enjoy this title; everyone else will find it to be a complete waste of their time. The newest Hazzard game takes all the worst conventions of the driving genre and brings them together in one budget-priced package.
