Big Mutha Truckers 2's budget title status shines through in every aspect of the game. From graphics that are decidedly low-res and muddy, to poor track design and awful voice work; nobody would mistake this for a triple-A title, or even one worth its price-to-move retail cost.
Juvenile humor is at the heart of this game, but to be honest, the hick-centric one-liners are overused and, if truth be told, not as well done as in games like GTA San Andreas. So, when your gimmick-based game's gimmick is found lacking, you're in for a world of hurt.
There is some basic, primal fun to be had in driving a big truck around on roads with no concern for human life, but not enough to warrant purchasing a game that looks and plays like a first-gen PS2 title. There are better games out there, even in the value bin.
