Gamers can now take command of troops in some of WWII's most significant battles from its European theatre, from the invasion of Poland and France in 1939-40, through to the war on the Eastern front and the D-Day landings, to the fall of Germany in 1945. All of which are dramatically played out in real locations, constructed using topographical data and period aerial photography. The game's epic visual style is way ahead of any previous real-time strategy title; the outcome of the player's commands is experienced through stimulating and stunning graphical detail and effects.
