Easter Eggs
Play With the "R"
At the Title Screen, press on the D-Pad to rotate the R in that direction. Press the (B) button to change the color of the R to a metallic outlook. Press (X) and (Y) to lighten or darken the R. Press the (A) button to restore the R to its former color.

Shrink/enlarge characters in menu screens
In any menu, press Z or Y to enlarge or shrink the spinning 3D item.

Secrets
Easy way to control the locked characters
Note:You must have two controllers.
Go on your normal way to get the 5 tokens on Resort Island and challenge Metal Sonic. Lose to him, and then right after it go to the ''versus'' option. The first player will have highlighted the character that raced against Metal Sonic, and the second player will have Metal Sonic highlighted! Now you scroll through the locked characters and choose the one you want, without getting the portrait.
CAUTION: If you leave the locked area, you must do the cheat again to can be there again.
